Meet The Owners
Founder & Lead Operator
Born and raised in Creston, Will has always called the Valley "home". Growing up in an entrepreneurial family, he spent many years working on job sites and at the family bakery. In 2004, he had the desire to start his own business locally and officially started W.H. Excavating.
With over 15 years of diverse experience, Will has worked more than 15,000 hours in machinery - specifically with excavators, skid steers, and dump trucks. He is proud to be involved in many community projects - past and present (with some highlighted in our Gallery).
As a family-owned and operated business, Will strongly believes it is important to give back to his community. W.H. Excavating supports programs like The P.A.R.T.Y. Program and youth activity/sport programs.
Contact Will today if you need support with your next project.
Office & HR Manager
In 2015, Laura moved to the Creston Valley to start a family with her husband, Will. Growing up on a century farm in Southwestern Ontario, Laura understands the work ethic and care it takes to sustain a family business.
Laura has a Bachelor of Commerce degree and is a CPHR candidate working towards a designation in Human Resources. She manages daily office duties and is focused on building an inclusive, safe, and supportive work environment for staff and subcontractors in this industry.
Laura works primarily in the office, but you will occasionally see her working on-site with the crew. Otherwise, she is busy (trying) to keep up with their children, supporting local initiatives, or participating in youth and adult sports.
